Holly's Fund

Cody and Holly
Cody Sortore and Holly Fannin at her work.
Hello, my name is Cody Sortore. Though, who I am has little bearing on the situation it is important that I let you know who I am off hand since if you know how to check whois registration (and you should if you're donating, or spending money online) you'll see my name first. I'm just the guy who created this website for Holly. Holly is a woman who my mother has worked with (they're both in the medical field, taking care of others is what they do best) who has a very touching story that you can read more of on her story page.

In short Holly has breast cancer and needs the help of those she may not know to get her though. The reason I set up this website is because if there is one thing that I've learned about the internet over the years I've been making websites and blogging, it's the power of community. There are many things in this world now that leverage the power of community such as insurance companies. Whether it be car insurance or health insurance the idea is simple, get lots of people to pay in pay out to a few. But because Holly does not have insurance, and couldn't get it because of her situation it is up to other communities to help her. The old saying "no man is an island" is a true statement, we all rely on one another none of us can produce everything we need to survive. Right now Holly needs financial support, with the surgeries that are to take place she will be off work for well over a month, besides the obvious cost of the surgeries she also will have no income during that time. In order for her and her family to continue getting groceries during the time, and to help compensate for the medical expenses that have, and are to come we ask for your donation.

Your donation doesn't have to be much, and in fact does not have to be monetary at all. Prayer, moral support and your words of encouragement are greatly welcomed. We will make sure that she hears what you have to say. Spreading the word and sending this website to others around you is also a great way to help Holly get the support she needs in this time. And no donation is too small. Just think about it, the state of Missouri alone has a population over 5,000,000 people, if just 10 percent of them decided that they wanted to help Holly and donate a single dollar she would have more than enough to support her family, pay the medical bills, and help many others in a similar situation.

Please help us, and join the fight to help a breast cancer victim.
